something seems to be very unstable
Hello there,
So I got my domain to point to the IP, and now everything seems to be little better than how usually it was, but now I got another problem (one headache after the another). The thing is the whole network seems to be very unstable. After I finish configuration, when I open a new browser and type in the domain name, there seems to be no problem at all for couple of minutes (I even refreshed the pages and still not a problem). But few minutes later when I try again, the message (the page cannot be displayed) shows up. Now I am not sure what exactly is causing this problem. I am wondering if these three things might be the factor: 1. DNS configuration 2. Apache configuration 3. My wireless network (my labtop uses wireless network and I use wireless router hooked up to my primary router in living room). I am wondering whether firewalls and other network configuration have anything to do with stability of my website. If you could give me a reply, again I would be much more than a happy camper. Sincerely, Young |

Is apache running on the wireless laptop?
I'd have to guess that's your biggest problem... I've heard wireless systems loose their conections often [on some routers]... quick test, try keeping it plugged in [with a network cable], for a day or two to see if it fixes anything. |
