Web-server for 50k concurrent users
I'm looking for what would be the best spec'd out server I could get to serve 50k concurrent users. I'm going to be running video on-demand (kind of like hulu).
I was looking at the Dell PowerEdge R910 Rack Server with quad quad-core processors and 256GB+ of RAM. We're going to be relying heavily on PHP, MySQL, Memcached, and HipHop for PHP. Would it be more ideal to have a separate boxes one for MySQL and one for Apache? I'm also assuming NAS would be the way to go for storage?
